What is Miyagawacho, one of the five entertainment districts?

 

Kyoto's Five Flower Districts

Miyagawacho, Pontocho, Gion Kobu, Gion Higashi, and Kamishichiken are collectively known as the Five Flower Districts. Lined with teahouses and traditional restaurants, the historic streetscape remains to this day.

 

 

What is Miyagawacho?

Miyagawacho is one of the five geisha districts in Kyoto.

It is a small street that runs east of Kawabata-dori along the east side of the Kamo River, stretching from Shijo-dori to Gojo-dori.

At Miyagawacho Kaburenjo, the "Kyoto Dance" is held in the spring and the "Mizue-kai" in the fall.

You can enjoy the tea ceremony, dance performances, and commemorative photo opportunities.

Lunch plan with bento box

90 minutes / from 120,000 yen

 

This plan includes a lunch box.

You can enjoy watching the dance and taking commemorative photos.

Dinner plan with kaiseki cuisine

2 hours/from 150,000 yen

 

This plan includes an evening kaiseki meal.
